I’m Brittany and I founded BRoot Design in 2020 to help people stay safe, while giving them an outlet to express their personality through their masks. In 2021, I expanded my line of handmade goods to include welder caps and am always looking for fun offerings to craft. My focus is always on high quality hand sewn and custom pieces you won’t find just anywhere.
BRoot is not just a play on my name, but also a callback to nature where I am deeply rooted through my family. A core value of my company is to be environmentally friendly and socially conscientious.
Even though BRoot Design was officially started two years ago, I have been sewing for a long time, starting when I was just 10 years old. I have always been drawn to design, fashion and creative projects. I grew up playing piano and later moved to New York City, where I graduated from Parsons The New School for Design in 2008 with a degree in Fashion Marketing.
When not being crafty, I enjoy my time traveling, cycling, doing yoga, cheering on my Colts and playing with my daughter + one sweet kitty. I am pictured here with her and my wonderful husband, who is a huge support to everything I do creatively and beyond.
